Most needlepoint shops offer a selection of fine, well-written books, offering instruction on everything from the basics to collections of intricate specialty stitches for the more advanced stitcher. They are an invaluable source of knowledge, complete with illustrations and suggestions for use of threads for specific effects.
Stitching classes are for children, too!
One of the joys of needlepoint is that it is a very easy hobby
to learn, even for young children. As soon as your child is able
to pick up a thread and pass it through a hole they're ready to
start stitching!
Most needlepoint shops gladly provide stitching classes for children.
If your child is interested in crafting, contact your local needlepoint
shop to see if they offer one on their schedule. Should none be
