Welcome to Annie and Company |
In May 2002, Annie Goodman
opened a one-of-a-kind needlepoint store on the Upper East
Side of New York City. Wonderfully finished with blond
hard wood floors, wide windows offering plenty of light,
white walls covered with beautiful hand-painted canvases,
expansive worktables, and the widest range of supplies available
in the City, it is one of the most welcoming places in New
York. Whether you're a needlepoint novice or the most experienced
stitcher in town, everyone is always welcome. Annie has
even included for-men-only stitch sessions and "Football
Widow Sundays" among her store's weekly class program.

|
Annie's goal when she opened her store was
simple: "Create a warm, friendly and inviting place
with a huge selection of canvases and threads and a wide
variety of finishing services for stitchers everywhere."
 |
| Annie Goodman, Letty Quintana, Jenny Beck and Kathleen Little |
She has developed a loyal following including
some very famous names like Phoebe Cates, Bette Midler
and Joanne Woodward, all of whom continue to delight in
Annie's extensive collection of hand-painted needlepoint
canvases. Your favorite designers are always represented.
Want the latest design by JP Needlepoint, Melissa Shirley,
or perhaps Maggie Co.? Annie has it. Hand-painted yarns
of Silk & Ivory, Anchor DMC, Planet Earth, Kreinik:
you'll find it all here.

Customer Quotes:
"Don't be intimidated by the unique beauty and expertise
of the handiwork displayed at the shop. (Their) sales
people are helpful with (stitchers) at all levels
of experience. Kits, accessories, yarns, threads are
available as well as beads, books and charts."
"If you're an avid stitcher but only a lukewarm finisher,
they provide finishing services for all types of projects.
(Their) hours are limited but they're open every day of
the week."
"Since 'The Point' closed in the West Village,
I've been looking for a place to go when I need help and
great yarn. I was really reluctant to go since it's all
the way uptown but I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone
was really helpful and so nice; definitely not what I
expected from a shop in that area. The people there are
very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place."
